Resolved Question: Is there a way to trick the RFID scanner?
I just got a lift ticket at blue mountain ski yesterday. The ticket has a tiny RFID chip in it that opens the turnstyle when I go through it so that I can receive on the chairlift. Since this is new technology at Blue Mountain, is there any way to trick the Scanner into thinking that I have an active pass even though mine has expired?

Resolved Question: Democrats, will you be voting for Ron Paul or another Republican?
I will. I had no idea what was in the Obamacare. I have no idea how I could have missed the fact that mandatory RFID chipping of Americans was part of the bill. At this point I will be voting for any candidate that will appeal Obamacare even if it is Mr. frothy mix of lube and fecal matter. I hate Obama now but McCain pushed the NDAA bill so he wasn't a better choice either. But mandatory microchips are just too much. Some people may not care about their personal freedom and privacy but I do. I plan to receive the hell out of this country sometimes in the next few years before it gets really bad. The last wish for us is Ron Paul.

Should a clothing manufacturer be able to stitch tags into the labels of its garments that track, through wireless technology, where the garments go once they are taken off store shelves? This technology is already available through the use of RFID, a type of telemetry. From a business perspective, such tracking makes a lot of sense. A business wants to be able to keep accurate records of its inventory. If a business knows what items are in its warehouse or selling from the shelves, it will have a better idea of what items to increase or decrease production of. Yet as a consumer of the clothing product, are you concerned about the possibility of your movements being identified and tracked?

Voting Question: How does the technology in the Toyota Prius smartkey system actually work?
I would like to know the technical side of how the Toyota Prius smartkey system works. I know it's some nice of active RFID but how exactly does the key fob turn on the lights and unlock the car just by walking up to it? Most RFID systems require you to either press a button to send the signal or tap an access card to a reader. Is it similar to the way access card door locks work but just at a longer range? I'm looking into this for a DIY project. Would this be something that can be replicated or is it too complicated?

let me explain, I've had an awakening that has shown me that Yahweh is real. Before this I was a hardline atheist. But lately I've been relentlessly researching the Illuminati, ever since I found out about the National Defense Authorization Act. To say what I have learned about this secret luciferian organization is terrifying would be putting it lightly. What they've been planning with the FEMA camps here is scary enough but the atrocities they have committed in the past are even more frightening and their apparent invulnerability. Some historians believe these families can be traced back for centuries as the shadow rulers of the world and then I thought if they have been in power quite this long maybe they are simply the embodiment of bad in the world. Maybe they aren't even people like you and me, just manifestations of bad. But anyway this is how I have returned to Christianity. The question I have is if this RFID technology (the mark of the beast) starts being implanted in everyone how can I know I'll have the inner strength to resist the mark and if I try my best to resist it, is it more righteous to commit suicide than accept the mark?

Resolved Question: Where to get active RFID tags?
I'm working on my senior project and we are trying to use RFID tags to triangulate the position of an object. A local GPS if you will. I have the calculations and the theory, but I can't seem to find any active RFID tags/readers to use (RFID because we want to read some info too). Does anyone know where I can receive an active reader and active tags that have a range greater than 50ft? I haven't been able to find anything suitable using Google. Also, I'm below the impression that not any reader can read an active tag, is this true or can I use a cheap reader that states it has a range of 15cm to read an active tag? Being able to make my might be even better.

Voting Question: What type of RFID tag and receiver should I use?
I want to be able to track where a person is walking around in a home constantly. Should I use Active, Passive, or Battery Tags (and what frequency?) I want the receiver to be able to send the information WiFi or via 3G. I will only need to track 1-2 people. I would like the tags tiny as to insert it into a tiny armband.

I have a mde8051 trainer v2 that uses a ds89c450 chip, I am wanting to use an RFID reader that has a 5v+, a ground, data0, data1, and a tamper wire. Also a door lock that has a positive and negative. The program I want to make goes as follows Scan > master card? > yes > wait 2 sec > scan add new card > No scan > unlock / LED green > no > card on list? > yes > unlock / led green > no > red led To unlock would just need to complete the circuit to the lock

NATIONAL MEDICAL DEVICE REGISTRY. 12 (a) REGISTRY.— 13 (1) IN GENERAL.—Section 519 of the Federal 14 Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. 360i) is 15 amended— 16 (A) by redesignating subsection (g) as sub17 section (h); and 18 (B) by inserting after subsection (f) the 19 following: 20 ‘‘National Medical Device Registry 21 ‘‘(g)(1) The Secretary shall establish a national med22 ical device registry (in this subsection referred to as the 23 ‘registry’) to facilitate analysis of postmarket safety and 24 outcomes data on each device that— 25 ‘‘(A) is or has been used in or on a patient; and VerDate Nov 24 2008 01:43 Jul 15, 2009 Jkt 079200 PO 00000 Frm 01000 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H3200.IH H3200 jlentini on DSKJ8SOYB1PROD with BILLS 1001 •HR 3200 IH 1 ‘‘(B) is— 2 ‘‘(i) a class III device; or 3 ‘‘(ii) a class II device that is implantable, 4 life-supporting, or life-sustaining. 5 ‘‘(2) In developing the registry, the Secretary shall, 6 in consultation with the Commissioner of Food and Drugs, 7 the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid 8 Services, the head of the Office of the National Coordi9 nator for Health Information Technology, and the Sec10 retary of Veterans Affairs, determine the best methods 11 for— 12 ‘‘(A) including in the registry, in a manner con13 sistent with subsection (f), appropriate information 14 to identify each device described in paragraph (1) by 15 type, model, and serial number or other unique iden16 tifier; 17 ‘‘(B) validating methods for analyzing patient 18 safety and outcomes data from multiple sources and 19 for linking such data with the information included 20 in the registry as described in subparagraph (A), in21 cluding, to the extent feasible, use of— 22 ‘‘(i) data provided to the Secretary below 23 other provisions of this chapter; and 24 ‘‘(ii) information from public and private 25 sources identified below paragraph (3); VerDate Nov 24 2008 01:43 Jul 15, 2009 Jkt 079200 PO 00000 Frm 01001 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H3200.IH H3200 jlentini on DSKJ8SOYB1PROD with BILLS 1002 •HR 3200 IH 1 ‘‘(C) integrating the activities described in this 2 subsection with— 3 ‘‘(i) activities below paragraph (3) of sec4 tion 505(k) (relating to active postmarket risk 5 identification); 6 ‘‘(ii) activities below paragraph (4) of sec7 tion 505(k) (relating to advanced analysis of 8 drug safety data); and 9 ‘‘(iii) other postmarket device surveillance 10 activities of the Secretary authorized by this 11 chapter; and 12 ‘‘(D) providing public access to the data and 13 analysis collected or developed through the registry 14 in a manner and form that protects patient privacy 15 and proprietary information and is comprehensive, 16 useful, and not misleading to patients, physicians, 17 and scientists. 18 ‘‘(3)(A) To facilitate analyses of postmarket safety 19 and patient outcomes for devices described in paragraph 20 (1), the Secretary shall, in collaboration with public, aca21 demic, and private entities, develop methods to— 22 ‘‘(i) obtain access to disparate sources of 23 patient safety and outcomes data, including— 24 ‘‘(I) Federal health-related electronic 25 data (such as data from the Medicare pro- VerDate Nov 24 2008 01:43 Jul 15, 2009 Jkt 079200 PO 00000 Frm 01002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H3200.IH H3200 jlentini on DSKJ8SOYB1PROD with BILLS 1003 •HR 3200 IH 1 gram below title XVIII of the Social Secu2 rity Act or from the health systems of the 3 Department of Veterans Affairs); 4 ‘‘(II) private sector health-related 5 electronic data (such as pharmaceutical 6 purchase data and health insurance claims 7 data); and 8 ‘‘(III) other data as the Secretary 9 deems necessary to allow postmarket as10 sessment of device safety and effectiveness; 11 and 12 ‘‘(ii) link data obtained below clause (i) 13 with information in the registry. 14 ‘‘(B) In this paragraph, the term ‘data’ refers to in15 formation respecting a device described in paragraph (1), 16 including claims data, patient survey data, standardized 17 analytic files that allow for the pooling and analysis of 18 data from disparate data environments, electronic health 19 records, and any other data deemed appropriate by the 20 Secretary. 21 ‘‘(4) Not later than 36 months after the date of the 22 enactment of this subsection, the Secretary shall promul23 gate regulations for establishment and operation of the 24 registry below paragraph (1). I find some news on web who said that in USA next year will be obligatory for every U.S. people to implant microchip below skin...is it real or are only absurdities wrote by people obsessed of conspiracy theory?
